LiftWell ("we", "us", or "our") provides a workout generator and training tracker. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and basic profile information.
  • Workout data: Equipment, time, goals, and focus areas you select; generated and manually-built workouts; weights, reps, and notes you log; and workouts you mark complete or share.
  • Payment information: If you subscribe to LiftWell Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles this securely.
  • Usage data: To enforce free-tier limits, we store a daily usage count tied to your account (or IP address if not signed in).

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve LiftWell, including generating workout plans, saving your workout history and progress (Pro feature), processing subscription payments, and enforcing usage limits.

AI-Generated Content

When you generate a workout, the equipment, time, goal, and focus information you provide is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your workout plan. Anthropic's own privacy practices govern how this data is processed on their end.

Shared Workouts

If you use the "Share workout" feature, a copy of that workout's content (title, summary, exercises, and similar) becomes accessible via a unique link to anyone you share it with. Do not include personal or sensitive information in shared workout titles, notes, or exercise names.

Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on the following third-party services to operate LiftWell:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management
  • Supabase — database storage for workouts, history, and progress
  • Stripe — subscription payment processing
  • Anthropic — workout generation
  • Vercel — application hosting

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and workout data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the information below.

Children's Privacy

LiftWell is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of LiftWell after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
